Self-hosted. You install it on your own PHP and MySQL hosting. Tools like S3, SES, or Cloudflare are optional. The product runs without them.
PHP 8.3+ with common extensions (pdo_mysql, curl, openssl, mbstring, fileinfo, zip), MySQL 8+ or MariaDB, and Apache with mod_rewrite or Nginx. You also need writable storage and cache folders.
No. Admin, portal, pay pages, and the installer ship with prebuilt assets. You only need Node if you are a developer changing the React UI yourself.
Yes. There is a web installer, prebuilt front-end assets, and recurring billing that works with a normal cron job. A small VPS works too.
Stripe, PayPal, and bank transfer come in core. The package also includes free Razorpay and Mollie addons you can install from System → Addons.
Yes. Each invoice can have a public pay link. The client opens the link, pays, and you see the payment in your ledger. A full client portal is available when you want login access.
Invited clients can view invoices and quotations, download PDFs, pay online, accept or decline quotes, open projects after payment, and reply on support tickets.
Yes. You can draft and send quotes, track accept or decline, and create an invoice from an accepted quote when you are ready.
Yes. Split an invoice into milestones (for example 40/60) or record partial payments. Balances stay correct when you issue credits or refunds.
Yes. You set a schedule from a template invoice. A cron job creates the next invoices. You can pause, resume, or run a schedule immediately.
You can issue credit notes linked to invoices, and record full or partial refunds. Where the gateway allows it, refunds can go back through Stripe or similar.
They can. If you enable it on a catalog item, a paid invoice opens a project with optional requirements forms, messaging, and tickets tied to that job.
Yes. Upload logos (including a dark sidebar logo), set the system name, and choose accent colors. There is no forced author watermark on the product UI.
Point your domain at the public folder, open the installer, and walk through requirements, license, database, company, and admin user. Most people finish in one sitting.
Upload an update ZIP from System → Updates. Migrations and cache clearing are part of that flow. Remote updates from the author server are available when you configure them.
Addon ZIPs extend the core without forking it. Payment gateways are the main example. Install, activate, or deactivate them from the admin Addons screen.
No. NexInvoice is built for billing: invoices, quotes, credits, recurring, pay links, and a client portal. Cart, shipping, and shop themes are not part of this product.
Yes. You can schedule reminders before and after the due date, and use recovery emails for invoices that were viewed but not paid.
Yes. You set a base currency at install, add more currencies as needed, and configure tax zones by country or region.
